Yet their world continues to shrink, swallowed by roads, cities, and expanding development. Still, they persist — standing upright in the wind, chirping their warnings, and keeping watch over their vanishing home. They remind us that even the smallest lives are woven into the fabric of the wild and deserve to be seen, valued, and protected.
